Video 30gb unable to load original firmware
(1/1)
ulterior:
Sorry its come to this, Ive been researching this problem for awhile now and havent been able to find any solutions so posting here as a last resort.
I have a 30gb ipod video, and have installed rockbox using the instructions contained here:
http://download.rockbox.org/manual/rockbox-ipodvideo.pdf
Rockbox itself works fine, but when I try and start the original firmware via rebooting and holding menu, I get the "loading original firmware" message after which it restarts and starts the process again. When it does this I can use the hold button again, but I get the same message and the same restart over and over.
Im not using loader2, I was considering it but the general consensus is it doesnt work with 5g video. However some say it does but you need to do some config magics...any advice on that wold be great.
Sorry again if this turns out to be a very mundane problem
kurtty:
yeah i have the same problems exacly. a 30gb video.
rockbox loads fine but when i try to load the origional firmware it just gives the message "loading origional firmware" and then just reboots only to do the same thing again, its just a constant loop untill i take off the hold buttion.
i want the origional firmware because its better for video. for music its rockbox all the way.
