grr some guidance is needed...
« on: January 14, 2007, 03:50:37 PM »
.:EDIT:. someone just posted another post on the same topic just ignore this post

first & foremost i did search

ok so i actually forgot to unzip the rockbox bootloader into the ipod directoy. same garbage you hear every day. the problem is now my 4g is stuck in an infinite loop (until the battery dies).

it starts up, attempts to boot rockbox & gives me a rockbox -1 error, attempts to start into apple OS then restart again. i know i need to get the bootloader onto the ipod but i haven't had the slightest luck is trying to figure out how to get it out of the loop.

grr someone has to have the info. i know someone who has recently posted that he has successfully done this but hasn't replied to a PM (http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=8135.0)

thanks everyone. sorry for the repetitive question. i just enjoy rockbox to much to give it up

Put your player into Disk Mode.  The manual describes how to do this.

As Febs says - it's all in the manual - we're not here to re-write it for you.

The manual has the correct instructions.  I just checked.

Directing users to read the manual is ultimately more efficient (and better for the user in the long run).  You are being shown where the information is so you can help yourself.

Well, that's because I fixed it after reading propaganda54's post.   ;D

Ah... I see.

Well, if the directions to read the manual didn't exactly help propaganda54 at least s/he helped pinpoint a problem in the manual.
