3g iPod ARM optimised memcpy/memmove
« on: January 12, 2007, 07:34:44 PM »
Can someone help me with the ARM optimised memcpy/memmove patch...

http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/6528

I have managed to patch the source files using the cvs build fine, but when i come to compiling it i get an error...

make[1]: *** No rule to make target `/home/user/cvsrockbox/a/moose/librockbox.a'.   Stop.
make: *** [all] Error 2

the "moose" dir being my build dir   ;D
And I'm using the debain development vmware image.

Wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or is the patch just broken?

What exactly did you type that led to that?

And if you are trying to compile just one file, you cannot do that.

Well I applied the .diff file with the patch program, then attempted to "configure" and "make" it (which is fine with the non patched files).

Patching with the .diff file gives no error, I just wanted to know am I missing something? is there anything else I need to do when patching? and can anyone else get it to work with no errors?

Edit: Ah I worked it out, it was changing files in a dir called a/ and adding files to b/, so I just copied b to a and it works, my bad  :-[. Although the plug-in does make it super crashy ^^.

What plugin? This isn't a plugin patch, this patch affects the Rockbox core.
