Converter to rockbox MPEG

Would it be possible to add a rotate function for the people with screens in portrait orientation? (Sansa, Gigabeat) Or is VLC not able to do that?

At least for the Gigabeat that's not needed as we made the RGB -> YUV conversion code rotate the image.

Fps setting does not work...when it is set, just audio is converted, without video. Would be nice program if could work properly

I know this, you shouldn't use the fps setting, it says so in the readme  

I have tried converting from avi, mpeg2 and the same sh.. happens   and when i choose input file exceptionaly mpeg-2 type, i got error "acces violation at address 61d.... in module "mciqtz32.dll" read in address 00000.." input choosing avi types works good.

That should be the automatic-length-detection of my program, it uses WMP -> maybe there's the problem. I don't know how to use VLC to get the length of the movie...

Future additions:
(1) Maybe batch processing? (I moved the code to a batch file myself, just easier)

No problem.

Maybe add an auto detect for VLC? Using the registry maybe?

I don't know how to do this   , but why? You only have to select the path the first time you open the converter and save the preset (read the readme)



I ask again: if you know anything about VLC and command line, PM me...

The save/load preset doesn't work for me. When I save a preset, and try to load it again, I hit browse but it doesn't see the "ini file" that it created. One other thing, can you please add an option where I can add a directory to convert, I have a lot of video clips and I'd really appreciate it if you can add an option to add a directory of bunch of avi files instead of having to do them one by one.

from what I remember of VLC its very highly dependant on the converting machine and the size of the video. Could you be more specfic (especally about size and format of the vids)

It doesn't seem to work for me, on my Gigabeat the audio plays right away, but the screen continues to say "Buffering"
Any hints?

I have an Ipod nano, and when I try to play a video, the same thing happens! there is sound, but the screen says "buffering"

@johnson4 and newgeekhere: try the .bat-file from the wiki page. If you get the same errors, It's not my program's fault.
