ipod video battery problem
(1/1)
Sepharat:
Hi, i have an ipod video 60gb and i have a problem with my battery. It´s a second hand ipod and it came with the original battery damaged. I bought a new battery of 450mAh but it runs out in only 1 hour and a half. I thought that maybe the battery was bad quality and i bought another one of 850mAh. With this, the ipod runs out in 6 hours but it´s still too short. Does someone know if maybe i have another problem in the ipod that does the ipod runs out so soon? I don´t know if the ipod has something that can use battery if it´s broken or damaged
I´m using the senab´s build with the cop patch and i have done the battery bench running the same album compressed with ogg q6 all the time without equalizer, low volume and the default theme
Thanks

The standard 5th generation 60GB iPod battery is 600mah, and so your 850mah battery should be better than stock.
That being said, I can get 10 hours with my stock battery and the conditions you describe (assuming minimal to no backlight usage.)
It is fair to note, though, there are two major variables in your equation. The use of a highly experimental, unofficial, unsupported build being variable #1. (Though early reports show no battery issues with the COP patch.) A no-name battery which claims to be 850mah being variable #2.

As Llorean might ask, how long does it run with default firmware?
