Thinking of putting a Seagate ST612712DEG in my H10
« on: January 09, 2007, 09:52:39 PM »
I recently wrecked my 6GB H10 hard drive, but I don't want to buy a new player just yet. I' thinking of buying and installing a Seagate ST612712DEG:http://www.span.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=7700 into it, but I have a few questions: Is this the right type of connector? I know the H10 also uses a ZIF connector, but is it the same number of pins? And will the 12GB size cause any problems with rockbox or even the hardware? And finally, does anybody have any idea of when stores will stock this drive?
