Rockbox Error: -5 on 2g 4GB mini

After installing the new bootloader and rebooting my 4GB 2G mini, I end up getting a Rockbox Error: -5 message.   Then it says it is loading original firmware, but doesn't...it just cycles over and over.   I found an unrelated thread that said the "error -5" is a checksum problem and it suggested unzipping the files to the ipod again and starting over.  I did this and still have the same problem.  Any ideas?

You likely have the wrong version of Rockbox installed on your device.

Are you sure that you installed the build for the 2nd Gen Mini on your device?  Are you sure that your device is a 2nd Gen Mini?

I am sure of both of those things and double checked now just in case.  Is there another (perhaps older) version of the bootloader that I can try to load to see if that works?  Thanks for the help.
