Playback Problem- New Gigabeat F40 Installation

Hello,

I have tried to locate a discussion thread that addresses my problem unsuccessfully. My aplology if I missed it...

I have just loaded the firmware and bootloader. I used the 010807 build for the GigaBeat.

Version: 070100-0901

The device had songs already loaded on it when I installed the Rockbox firmware. I can navigate throughout the menu system, and can see the songs installed. However, when I navigate from Artist > Album >

the song never shows up.

I know that the songs are on the device because I can see them if I use the GigaRoom application.

Any ideas?

Read the manual, particularly the part about 'Database'...

The Gigabeat encapsulates songs as .sat files, which are protected. Rockbox will not be able to play .sat file, you need clean MP3 files (or other formats Rockbox supports).
