I enhanced rockbox's dict plugin in order to use stardict dictionaries on rockbox. There are a lot of dictionaries in that stardict format and they can be easily converted from dictionaries in the DICT format.

It's main purpose is make it possible to read the wikipedia on rockbox (converted dumps are available), but as it can be used for some other nice things, e.g. translation dictionaries or maybe phone books.

I'd like to get some feedback on this and would like to hear some opinions about a general dictionary/wikipedia viewer, as there are some different approaches available at the moment.

You can find the plugin and some more information on Misticriver at http://misticriver.net/showthread.php?t=50185

Why not post it to the patch tracker, then, as is the normal process, instead of linking to a forum thread elsewhere?

When I first made the plugin available, it wasn't very sophisticated and hence, not ready to be included in rockbox.
That's why I first posted on Misticriver to get some feedback and later send it to the patch tracker.

The patch tracker isn't necessarily meant for solely final submissions. It's there also for "This isn't ready yet, but I'm working on it, and would like feedback"
