Gigabeat F40 - probs w/ transition between audio formats in dynamic playlist
(1/1)
kizmet005:
Just loaded rockbox onto the gigabeat last night, with latest daily build.... I have both FLAC and MP3 Files on the player. I'm having some problems transitioning between the two audio formats in a dynamic playlist - and not consistent problems either. With the same two files, if I try to ffwd from the end of one FLAC album to the beginning of a MP3 album sometimes it works, sometimes the player freezes and I get an error message "Undefined instruction at 00000074". If I listen through to the end, the MP3 track never plays, but the end track of the FLAC album plays again, and once the player just died at the end of that last FLAC track.
I've listened to the tracks at home (either on Squeezebox or Foobar2000, so I think they were encoded fine).
If the player freezes, I've given it a few minutes then reset it by turning the battery off then on again. After that it boots up fine.
Is this a known issue and is there something I can do to get around it (other than rebooting?)
Thanks!

Yes, this is a known issue. There is no workaround yet, but we may have that fixed in the near future.

You may want to try the latest build. There is a patch in there which could resolve this issue.
