.rockbox is hidden on mac

(1/2) > >>

sinister:
Someone told me .files on mac are hidden such as on my iPod. How would I make changes to the iPod if its hidden, like if I want to add games, becasue right now when I open rockbox it says that I have no .rockbox directory...

sinister:
Can someone upload there ./rockbox file to  a site because for some reason when I extracted to my iPod its not there (or is not visible) and when I load rockbox on my iPod it says .rockbox directory missing, and says something about incomplete rockbox or something like that. need help!!

bernych:
You can see your hidden directory by selecting Go->Go to Folder... in Finder menu and type the name of the directory. If the directory exist it wll appear and now you can drag and drop it where you want.
Another possibility is to go in the terminal window. Change to the directory where your rockbox files are located and type "cp -R . /Volumes/IAUDIO". This copy hidden files too and it merge it with a pre-existing version if it is the case.

Hope this help

Cheers

Ya nvm about all of this I fixed it =/

There is an excellent free utility out there for Mac OSX called OnyX that allows you to switch on/off the viewing of hidden files at any time. Of course it does lots more than just that and I can't believe I ever ran a Mac without it now.

I just thought this would be a good future reference for people with the same problem since the Original Poster didn't clarify how he solved the problem.
