Then the problem was the other thing I mentioned in my earlier post - use /dev/disk1 not /dev/disk1s2

Alright, it works. But yet again -_- I am getting another error on the next line of code:

./ipodpatcher /dev/disk1 -a
ipodpatcher v0.5 - (C) Dave Chapman 2006
This is free software; see the source for copying conditions.  There is NO
warranty; not even for MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Usage: ipodpatcher --scan
    or ipodpatcher device [action]

Where [action] is one of the following options:
  -l,  --list
  -r,  --read-partition   bootpartition.bin
  -w,  --write-partition  bootpartition.bin
  -rf, --read-firmware    filename.ipod
  -wf, --write-firmware   filename.ipod
  -a,  --add-bootloader   filename.ipod
  -d,  --delete-bootloader

"device" is the device node (e.g. /dev/sda) assigned to your ipod.
ipodpatcher will refuse to access a disk unless it can identify it as being
an ipod.

Its on my desktop so I did "cd desktop" then did the line above and got this. I am pretty sure this isen't supposed to come up after I did that code.

Your line "./ipodpatcher /dev/disk1 -a" doesn't include the last bit, you have to -a [filename] where filename is the file for the bootloader.
