rockbox won't work with the latest ipod firmware??

m1kke:
hey there!

i've been using rockbox for quite a while, with no major problems. but when i upgraded my ipod (video 5th gen) to the latest firmware (1.2.1) rockbox stopped working. now, when i start my ipod (alt. rebooting etc.) i get directly to the apple firmware. i've installed all the new rockbox daily builds, but nothing seems to work.

anybody else experienced this problem?

any clue what i could do to get rockbox to work again? cuz i really need it to.
i've thought about re-installing an old firmware on my ipod, but i don't know how to do it.

i hope someone can help me out.

cheers

Febs:
When you updated your iPod firmware, you overwrote the Rockbox bootloader.  Re-install the bootloader using the instructions in the manual.

m1kke:
so what you are saying is that I need to install rockbox all over again?

I used Rockbox Installer X when i installed it on my iPod, but now, the rockbox installer X-site seems to be down, so I can't download it again. sheit..

Febs:
You only need to install the bootloader.  There are step-by-step instructions in the manual explaining exactly how to do this.  You don't need Installer-X.

m1kke:
alright. I'm doing it right now.

but I'm stuck at point 8. (install the bootloader)

it says (for windows user):

Windows users should now type:

1. ipodpatcher [device] -a

2. bootloader-video.ipod

and I don't get what means with 1. and 2. how do I write this in the windows prompt??

I simply write:
ipodpatcher 5 -a (5 being my device)
then I press enter and then
bootloader-video.ipod

and the prompt says that the bootloader-video.ipod file isn't an internal comand etc etc.

but when i write:
ipodpatcher 5 -a bootloader-video.ipod

the prompt says:
couldn't open input file bootlader-video.ipod
--add- bootloader failed

how should I do?
