Hi,

If you put the HOLD switch to ON while booting, Rockbox boots with "all cleared" (reset all settings).

To boot Apple's firmware you need to press and hold MENU while booting. A message will appears on screen: "Loading original firmware".

[EDIT] This information I wrote above is wrong, only works on the old bootloader. The new one was modified. Sorry.

If you upgrade to the latest bootloader, the hold switch boots to the Apple firmware.  To reset the settings, you need to turn the hold switch on after the bootloader starts, but before Rockbox starts.
