Is it worth it to install Rockbox on my 3d gen iPod?
« on: January 01, 2007, 04:50:28 PM »
I would really like to listen to my FLAC music on my 3g 15gb iPod, but looking at the wiki, it seems too unstable for daily use. Freezing when shutting down, buffer-underruns on mp3s, lockups, not usb...
Is it really as bad as all that?

Thanks

If you want to play flac files, it is worth installing Rockbox.  You can always boot back into the Apple firmware to listen to MP3s and transfer files!
