Help, noob installing on 4th gen 20 gig

(1/4) > >>

This is what I get endlessly:

carl-burtons-powerbook-g4-15:~/Desktop ccburton$ ./ipodpatcher 1 /dev/disk2 -r bootpartition.bin
ipodpatcher v0.5 - (C) Dave Chapman 2006
This is free software; see the source for copying conditions.  There is NO

Usage: ipodpatcher --scan
    or ipodpatcher device [action]

Where [action] is one of the following options:
  -l,  --list
  -r,  --read-partition   bootpartition.bin
  -w,  --write-partition  bootpartition.bin
  -rf, --read-firmware    filename.ipod
  -wf, --write-firmware   filename.ipod
  -a,  --add-bootloader   filename.ipod
  -d,  --delete-bootloader

"device" is the device node (e.g. /dev/sda) assigned to your ipod.
ipodpatcher will refuse to access a disk unless it can identify it as being
an ipod.

Any ideas??? I tried changing the "1" from numbers 0-15 and still the same thing.

Llorean:
Remove the 1 entirely.

THanks for the quick reply! Here's what I get:

carl-burtons-powerbook-g4-15:~/Desktop ccburton$ ./ipodpatcher /dev/disk2 -r bootpartition.bin
ipodpatcher v0.5 - (C) Dave Chapman 2006
This is free software; see the source for copying conditions.  There is NO

[INFO] Reading partition table from /dev/disk2
[INFO] Sector size is 512 bytes
[ERR]  Drive is not an iPod, aborting

Llorean:
And this is a 4th gen iPod, that has been converted to Fat32 properly?

Indeed:
Correct, 4th gen ipod, gray. I used the wiki Fat32 tutorial
