cant view movies

HI i just installed rockbox on my iaudio x5 its working great however when i go into the movies folder nothing is present there.
anybody able to help?

Rockbox only supports MPEG2 video.

well you said it supports mpeg2 so i transcoded them to exactly that.
only saw that link after. Now i followed the instructions on that page and i get this file stream-0-mpga nothing else.

MPG files aren't just "mpeg2 video" but often also contain audio.

ok i tried memcoder instead of vlc it produced a m2v file 0bytes and gave lots of errors sayin it doesnt support 14fps so i ripped the dvd again to get a vob file and used that
it worked to a certain extent
there is no sound!and from your last comment i get the impression it doesnt support sound in video playback
if this is so why?

Because it's not done yet.

As it says on the wiki page:

mpegplayer is a work-in-progress MPEG video player plugin.

It is currently capable of playing back MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 video streams. There is no audio playback, and the video files must be raw "elementary streams" - i.e. not multiplexed into .mpg or .avi files.

I am sorry for bothering you since this is already in the wiki however despite reading most of the wiki i did not see this anywhere. If I had I would not have asked. I will be removing rockbox now and eagerly awaiting for this feature to be implemented if possible. As apart from that I was very impressed with what you have achieved but I do not wish to loose this feature. Thanks for your help.
