AJB 6000 will not power off

I just purchased a Archos 6000 off of eBay.  It works perfectly, absolutely no problem at all!

Except, when it comes to powering down.  When I select "Shut down" it says "Shutting down" and then the back light start to flash on and off.

Then I can the press stop button to shut the device off.  

It will do the same thing when the idle time has expired.  So that means I can not use it in the Car mode.  I always have to press the stop button to turn it off.

I changed the hard drive when I got it.  I do not know if this problem existed when I got the device or after I replaced the hard drive.
