Theme Request Thread

Now I have; what may be a strange, idea for a theme. Has anyone created an iPod theme that looks exactly like the original? the reason I want this is so that the iPod looks and acts fairly normal but has all the functionality of RockBox.

What player do you want that for i could try to make it

Yeah iPod theme for iPod 5.5 80Gig, why on earth should apple be arsed if you use their theme on an iPod! I could understand if you used it on another MP3 Player but hell I bought it with that theme on. it just seems a shame that the iPod is missing half the functionality

Please do not request copyrighted materials around here.

Apple might not have a problem with it, but there's no guarantee, and there's no reason to risk it. And there's no way to make a theme only usable on one player.

Because it's the graphics that are the problem. Please, don't try to talk your way around copyright law.

i think having a halo/halo2/halo3 theme would be kick... well awesome!

like your health incresses as you progress thu the song
your armor decrees as you lose battery
vise versa might be better

or in your granade menu you have four max they lower as you lower volume
4 max 3,2,1 and 0 being lowest

pause play rw ff show where you would see your ammo amount

i would think the halo theme would be copywrighted also. but it does sound awesome i my self are a fan of halo

yae another idea for a theme would be a half life  theme but again whith the copy right problem, enyways i am still weithing for my metroid prime them   i know is goin to be nice.

why should bungie even care. not like where taking credit for the creation of the stuff we use like a design of mc or something. where just using it.

wouldn't a Mario theme be copywrited i have seen people make a Mario theme.

The Mario themes were removed at the same time as the iPod ones - for the same reason.

Oh and another ideal for a good theme would be like a graffity theme.

It's not about money. It's about both Ethics and Responsibility.

Open source depends on others respecting licenses and copyrights. For example the GPL wouldn't work if people didn't respect it. And we respect other peoples' licenses and copyrights.

Come to think of it if i worked my but off on something i wouldn't want someone else to just use it and possibly deface it.

how about a book theme for bookworms out there. like the backdrop is a blank page with the menu over it looking lilke the menu is the words to the page, and when you play a song the page # is the volume , the font for the name of the song can look like it was typed with an old typewriter,

something like that for ipod 5.5 g

Hi, i've noticed that most of the good themes are for the ipod video and almost none are for the nano. i know that because of the nano's screen size, porting most of those themes is hard. i've found that the following themes can be ported perfectly and i would like it if someone could port them:

Mario theme for nano.
A Hint of Deviance theme for nano.
Escape Pod for nano.
FrostBox for nano.

(none should be custom builds)
