Bootloader doesn't boot iRiver-Firmware anymore (H300)
(1/1)
JazzBone:
Hello Forum.
I just found out that I'm unable to boot int OF via Rec+Play on startup.
The bootlader says 'Loading original firmware' for the fraction of a second, then, the player turns off.
I already reflashed the EEPROM with the one provided by Petur, and re-installed the bootloader, accessing the OF by plugging in the AC-Charger. Same result, Player turns off. H300-Hex-File is in the root directory (in case that it matters).
Are there any more things I can try? ???
Thanks in advance!

I know that this sounds a bit weird but have you tried to double press the Play button?
Here's a quote from IRC logs (http://www.rockbox.org/irc/rockbox-20060608.txt)
--- Quote ---<petur> LinusN: did you know that double-clicking the play button on h3x0 boots it into iriver fw, bypassing the bootloader?
<LinusN> that could be possible, yes
<webguest15> works for my h340, 100% times
<Genre9mp3> as long as you don't double-press it too quickly, yes..

That sounds like a nice trick, but it doesn't work for me ATM. Maybe I haven't found the right double-click-speed yet ;)
Will spend some time trying...
