Changing max limit of songs on directory
(1/1)
soundescape:
Hi everyone
I just installed Rockbox V5 yesterday and have discovered there is a limit to the number oftracks a directory can hold, and am receiving the Dir Buffer is Full message. I understand that I can change the limit but I have no idea how??
I have no menu which allows me to change any settings except sound settings. Where do I find the facility to enable me to change the limit?
thanks

What is Rockbox V5? The builds are dated, not numbered.
Anyway, the menu should have many more options than "sound settings". In particular General Settings, and then System, and then Limits, and in there you can set the number of files.
However, I would suggest to you that you instead organize your music files in directories by artist. Much cleaner that way when you're looking for a particular song.
Febs:
What player do you have?
