iPodPatcher doesn't display a number

(1/1)

Villanovagem:
I cannot find the "number" that it's supposed to display, so I can't continue installing.  I have a 60gb Video iPod, and on Windows, my computer detects the iPod but says:

C:\rockbox>ipodpatcher --scan
ipodpatcher v0.5 - Dave Chapman 2006

[INFO] Scanning disk devices...
[INFO] Ipod found - Video - disk device 1

C:\rockbox>

There is no number displayed, or am I doing something wrong?  Or is "disk device 1" all I need?

linuxstb:
Yes, your device number is "1".  So the next command you need to type is:

--- Code: ---ipodpatcher 1 -r bootpartition.bin

--- End code ---

(to create a backup of the current state of your ipod's firmware partition)

followed by

--- Code: ---ipodpatcher 1 -a bootloader-ipodvideo.ipod

--- End code ---
to install the bootloader.

Llorean:
Just as a note, the bit that was the number was the line that says "[INFO] Ipod found - Video  - disk device 1"

iR0x:
I thought the number was "Chapman"  ;D
