When rebooting to iPod original firmware, is battery life still decreased?

I've got RockBox v2.5 on my 60gb Video iPod, and I was wondering if the battery life will still be effected as if I am still running RockBox even if I hold MENU + SELECT and reboot, then MENU starting the original iPod firmware.  Basically is the battery life always shorter when I've got RockBox on my iPod, no matter what firmware is running?

First, there is no rockbox 2.5 for the ipods, you must be running a daily or cvs build.
Your battery life in the original firmware should be unaffected by rockbox.

Yes, sorry, it was my mistake, I'm using the latest daily build, and thank you for your response.
