Hey

The main server just died some 30 minutes ago. The box is located in an office and with weekend and christmas coming up, I'm not sure exactly when someone can go there and make it get back up again.

This affects the web site, wiki, CVS (and viewcvs), mailing lists, web-based IRC client, IRC logging, CVS builds, daily builds and probably some more services.

download.rockbox.org is still up, and you can still visit the IRC channel using a proper client.

I just noticed that.  I guess the server opted to go on holiday.   :P

Man and that happened at the worst time to. My iPod got all screwy with this patch and I was gonna ask what was wrong or get a new build and reinstall rockbox but for some reason I couldn't get to the download page.

As of 7:33 PM PST on Sat. Dec 23, I still can't open the Rockbox site.  I don't know if only "some" of it is still down, or if it worked for a bit and then went back offline.

Yeah, it died again. We strongly suspect hardware failure.

If it's the power supply, we might have a spare one lying around. If it's the motherboard we have to wait for the stores to open on the 26th. And, of course, someone has to take time away from his family to go and diagnose the box. Not terribly popular this time of year...

In short: This could take a few days. Relax and enjoy the holiday. If anyone got a rockboxable device for christmas and is all itchy, download.rockbox.org is still available.
