ok im very new to this whole moding thing and i wana get doom on my 5.5g 30 gig video, could sum one post up all the programs i will need to download to do this and maybe tell me how to wurk them help would be apreciated. (is there a risk of killin my pod)

We've already compiled everything you need into one handy document.  It's called the Rockbox Manual.  You can find it through the link on the navigation panel on the left.

will this replace the stock navigation menu that comes on teh pod and will it earse all my music n vids and if i dont like it would i be able to put it bak 2 nrml..im rly sry for all teh questions

it replaces the navigation menu, yes, but you can go back to the default ipod one if desired

and no, it wont erase all your music and vids

i got the boot loader on now im at the next step i make a folder like it says download wut it says into it:

Next, create a folder on the computer’s hard drive and download the following file to that folder: http://download.rockbox.org/bootloader/ipod/bootloader-video.bin
When that is done, proceed to the section below that matches the operating system on the computer.
Download the following two programs and save them in the folder just created. These programs will be used in the next steps:
http://download.rockbox.org/bootloader/ipod/ipodpatcher.exe
http://download.rockbox.org/bootloader/ipod/ipod˙fw.exe
 Now change directory to the folder you created and run the following commands
when i enter the folowing commands:
1  ipodpatcher 0
2  ipodpatcher 1
3  ipodpatcher 2
4  ipodpatcher 3
it says: drive is not an ipod aborting?? wut do i do
