to owners of 160GB disks (and up), here's howto fully use them
(1/1)
[IDC]Dragon:
Hello,
thanks to a subsidy by fellow Thomas Kobler I'm now a proud owner of a 160GB disk instead of the originally planned 120GB. (Hey, why the extra expense for only 17GB extra I can use with the existing 137 GB limit...) So I was bribed to support larger disks with Rockbox.
Since yesterday Rockbox can use LBA48 when compiled for it. Together with the multi-partition capability (another compile time option) we can use the >137 GB part of large disks.

Archos Recorder v1:
I m looking for compile firmware of a big disk >137gb. I searched in patch and I have a full ram compiling error with profile enable. I wait we can configure this choice or sometimes update the pre compiled files.
I use the 31 of december firmware for big disk it's so right.

I have prepared some builds, so you can use it "out of the box". Wiki has been updated, visit above link again please.

Thank you to solve this little problem so quickly. I have new so little one, and don't know if it's my softwares(VMware debian3). When I write the two line in config-recorder.h Make says : "region flash is full". It works anyway I suppose it's the archos flash file which doesn't work.
My recorder works with the two partitons on 20070114 flashed firmware!!!
