WPS changes on startup

This must have been discussed ad nauseum, but I couldnt find the answer to my question after searching the forums....
I have a 60gb Video iPod, and a custom WPS, but when i turn off and turn back on my iPod, a default wps loads and i have to go change it again to get my custom wps to show up. is there any way to keep this from happening?

Yotto:
Make sure you shut off your iPod by pressing and holding PLAY until it shuts down.  This should save your settings, and wps.

In the past (but it's been a while) holding play didn't do it, but rebooting via select+menu did.  SO try that.

In any case, when you get all your settings the way you want them you should save a config file so if you lose them for any reason you can easily reload them.

well thanks for the suggestions!
i tried both the saving methods, but unfortunately neither worked. i guess i may have to reinstall  :'( which was pretty rough for me the first time around. plus i just spent all day loading it up with music.
is there a link you can give me for creating config files? that would be appreciated.

scorche:
Just go to Manage Settings > Save Config File > Hold SELECT to save

(Use the link too)

Mmmm:
It could also be because you don't have your WPS file saved in the correct folder. It should be in .rockbox/wps/
