5g Ipod: Menu button doesn't exit plugins?

(1/1)

zlapidus:
I just installed rockbox on my 60g 5g ipod, and i'm pretty pleased with how well it works. however, one thing i don't understand is that the MENU button, said to close both the Metronome and Bubbles plugins, doesn't work. Whenever I decide I want to stop using these plugins, I have to hold the play button down to make the ipod turn off.  That's okay, but there's got to be a better way. Can you think of a reason why the menu button doesn't work?

Atheistic Freedom:
I know how you feel.  Many plugins use the Menu + Select button to exit, although Bubbles originally did not do that.  It was a 100% working plugin until somebody (forgot who) decided to "fix" it and from then on it just wasn't the same.

Sorry about that, just remember I'm suffering with you  ;D

And Again, to fully exit you have to do Menu + Select; may take you a few tries to do it though.

Ya I find this sooo annoying. Like on spacerocks to exit you have to hold the play button.

It was jdgordon, and he didn't "fix" Bubbles per se.  He implemented an entirely new button action system that makes it much easier to port Rockbox to new platforms and to document new platforms in the manual.   If it bothers you so much, then instead of griping about it, go back to the proper thread and continue to work with him to get it right.
