ROCKBOX NOT WORKING W/ APPLE'S NEW FIRMWARE :(

i had it working and all then i installed the new firmware upgrade thing and it automatically got uninstalled

i tried reinstalling it but then it gave me an error in 4 different languages when i booted my ipod up to restore it to factory settings...

apple has changed something obviously...

HELP! i want it back

What kind of ipod do you have, and which version of the Apple firmware is it running?

No-one has reported a similar problem before, so more likely than not, something just went wrong with the installation.  Try restoring with itunes, and then doing the Rockbox install again.

i got a 5g 30gig.. ive done it like 3 times before i updated the firmware and this is the first time it didnt work... im pretty sure i didnt have any typos...

If you read that thread, the original poster said in his second post that Rockbox was working.

If you start with a clean ipod (i.e. one just restored with itunes) and follow the instructions step by step, it will work.

I updated my 5g to the latest Apple firmware 2 days ago.  It works perfectly.

This happens to me a couple times. When this happens to me it usually means I typed something wrong in the cmd menu when I was installing rockbox. I have the latest Apple firmware on mine and it works just perfectly.
