How can I scroll faster with my 5G when rockbox is installed?

Hey everybody.. I really like rockbox. I just recently installed it. But what happened to APPLES fast scrolling? It is SO SLOW. And doesn´t get better when I change the scrolling speed in settings.

Also, you might want to read the manual....the scrolling speed settings might not do what you think they do.

I'm kinda new, but I think you need to apply a patch.  It's sort of a long, drawn out process.  You could try one of the custom builds, there are links in the forum to peoples custom builds.

Yeah, pisses me off too. That and I can't select a file folder and have everything play under it with out creating a play lists.

Click and hold Select on the folder, choose "Playlist" then choose "Insert" and it will play every song in that folder. If you have recursive insertion enabled, it will play every song within every folder within every folder etc, within that originally selected folder.

If that's what you mean by "creating playlists" then I suppose yes, the fact that it is a couple button presses is frustrating. If you were doing something else, then may I suggest perusing the manual? It contains tasty tidbits such as this.
