Replay Gain Problem?

Playing around with the text only wps for ipod 5g
decided to add replay gain tag.
Replay Gain:%?rg
if replay gain is set to "track gain if shuffle" shuffle is shown
if shuffle is off reply gain now shows no tag
the manual says in the absence of shuffle replay gain reverts to album gain
The question is does it? and %rg is wrong or is %rg right and shuffle does not revert to album gain?

The %rg tag has been changed about a month ago:

Improved replaygain tags for WPS by Ian Webber fs#6223. Shows the current status of the gain rather than what the setting is set to. %?rg. Also, %rg will give the current gain adjustment.

I'm pretty sure the manual hasn't been adjusted for that.

I see this says there are six states and not five just going to try it now

Great it does work I must admit the Ipod is usually in shuffle mode so if it was wrong I wouldn't have known.

I've already done a Flyspray entry against the section in the manual - I'm affraid I haven't had the time to get my head round Tex yet ...
