Font Sizes
« on: December 10, 2006, 02:59:57 PM »
Is there a way to make fonts different sizes for differnt screens?

In particular, for the "skin" I'm using I need to use the "snap" font which is extremely small. It looks great on the "playscreen" but for my playlist I'd prefer something larger.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

thanks.

excuse my naiveté as I'm new here, but I notice that there are responds to the original patch that seem to include additional patches.

Do I need to install the initial patch and THEN all of the other patches or can I just install the lowermost patch and that will do everything...

Please let me know

The latest one only should do it.  Looking at that task, the newer ones are either bug fixes, new features or CVS syncs.

Edit:  Sory I misread!  It looks like you need the latest multifont-20060930.patch and the latest multifont-userfonts-20060828-mod.patch if you want all the functionality

Just the two I mentioned I think.  The multifont-20060930.patch is an update for the original, whilst multifont-userfonts-20060828-mod.patch is an addition to the updated one (if that makes any sense)

starting to make sense... only question now (as I'm a new user) is how to install it.

When I tried to download each of these they both came across as "tracker".

I hope this is worth all the trouble I'm causing you ;D

No trouble!

Patches are changes to the source code that is then used to compile (build) rockbox.  Consequently to 'install' them, you need to apply them to the source code then compile it.

You need to have development environment installed - have a look at this page, it should walk you through it:

http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/SimpleGuideToCompiling

I recommend the VMWare image rather than Cygwin as it compiles faster
