soft input on iaudio
« on: December 08, 2006, 07:52:48 AM »
Hallo,
I have problem, when I want to record music with my Iaudio X5 with external microphone. The recordings are really quiet, even if gain is on maximum level (12 dB). Can you help me with this problem, please?

I'm don't think 12db is enough gain for an external mic. Its impedance is probably too high for the line input and the voltage swings at the line in will be small. A small hi-Z input preamp could be hacked together though with an op-amp.
