Is there a way to flash the firmware inside Rockbox on an iHP-120?

I've been wanting to update my firmware to the most recent (I currently have 1.65u on it) for a while, as well as update to v6 of the bootloader instead of v5. However, I have a problem: When I try to boot into the normal iRiver firmware, it gets stuck on "READ FILE SYSTEM". Any ideas on either fixing the problem, or flashing the firmware from inside Rockbox?
