I cant even transfer songs to my player now, it sucks!

Have you tried using a different unzip program?

yeah i have tried with winrar and with the program you get with winxp whatever that is.
I feel that i should explain some more now, i was just so
[profanity deleted--please do not use profanity on the Rockbox forums]
when i wrote before. I picked out the
[profanity deleted--please do not use profanity on the Rockbox forums]
thing from the store yesterday, they had changed hard-drive on it. So I get home, plug it in and tries to instal rockbox right away.
Now, I cant transfer anything to it almost, it works with the first few files then the window or whatever stops responding and i have to reboot for anything to happend. The same happends when i tries to delete something on it.
Could it be a bad hard-drive once again? Or is it just something wrong with the usb connection? Should I flash the player, and how do i do that then.
I could give it back to the store, but i guess that i should erase every trace of rockbox on it then to not have trouble with iRiver.
So, now with a little more information, could someone PLEASE give me some info? I have been without music for a month now and im going crazy over here....

Try unzipping the files to your local HD instead of the player, that'll give you a clue as to whether the unzipping relates to your hard disk / connection problems, or is something else, but it sounds like you definitely have some greater form of problem.

sorry for the profanity.
Lloren: Well no thats not the problem I have allready tried that.
So what do you think, Im trying to run scandisc and it wont start on the
harddrive. Could it be the cabel?
Or is it the usbthingy on the player thats defect?
Is there some other bether program I could use to scan the player?

how long does it "stop" transferring? How long have you waited until you cancelled the transfer? There are known hardware issues, as far as I understand simply related to the fact that the hard drive is slower than the usb bus (and usual desktop hard drives). When transferring data my player also sometimes simply stalls for some time (with large chunks of data this gets up to 30 seconds or so), the hdd led is lit (and the hdd is working) while the host OS doesn't show any activity. Simply waiting a while fixes this -- maybe you simply encounter this issue?

bluebrother: I have left the computer for a couple of hours. When you wait it out it gives you weird faulmsgs, like "cant create a map that does exist" or something about there being something wrong with the map or it being to big.

Have you tried downloading the ZIP file again, in case the one you downloaded wasn't transferred correctly and is damaged?
