More than 1 partitions
(1/1)
bonusbartus:
Hi,
I'd like to use my Iriver h120 with it's disk split into a 500MB and a 19,5GB partition, because I got lots of damaged sectors on the first 450MB of its disk, is this possible? or is there another way to let windows skip writing to those damaged sectors?
thanks,
Bonusbartus
pabouk:
Yes, it is possible. I think that you do not even need to create multiple partition, just configure the partition to begin after the 450 MB. AFAIK if you create multiple partitions Rockbox will recognize only the first one.
bonusbartus:
So when I copy my music to the second partition I cant listen to it when I use rockbox?
bluebrother:
Rockbox uses the first primary FAT partition it finds. Just create a non-FAT partition at the beginning (or simply leave the space unallocated). I'm not sure if Rockbox honors the active flag of partitions.
