–SplitEdit for all of us! (& old wish list resurrected)

(I know, I know....  "D.I.Y!" –But I can't get up to speed with coding without quitting my job and/or dumping my girlfriend...)

To me it's strange that noone has yet converted the "SplitEdit" plugin to work for all of us, so not only owners of Archos DAP's can edit their recordings on the go.
...especially as the H1x0 is such a great recording device with RockBox!
