Hi,
suddenly my Ipod (4. Gen, grey, 20 GB) does't start:
Charging by usb-cable connected to pc there happens NOTHING.
Using the FW-cable i am able to do some tests (reset-->then backward/center-button), going to disk mode (reset-->then play/center-button) there is th following output in my linux-console:

But: The output from fdisk -l
doesn't show the disk.
Now, when i disconnected the cable there is only a battery symbol with a litte triange and a "!" in it.
Then the display goes dark...
I had the device in a Apple store yesterday, they called him dead after partitioning the disk.
I think they had the hd Mac partitioned (see the output above), so i can't get the device mounted??
I ordered a new battery for the ipod, but i also have to get the hd mounted.
So: Is there any way to partition thee device in fat32 format, have linux on my machines, and has anybody a MBR?
Or - what do you think generally??
Little bit confused...
