Two questions:

1) Did you use iTunes to sync the songs.

2) Do the songs look like they point to AAC files with actual names, or four-letter names?

If you want further help, I suggest that you open up the playlist file in a text editor and cut and paste the contents into a post here so that we can see exactly what the playlist file looks like.
