Backlight Level

Is there a nice way to reduce the level of the backlight?  I find it much too bright.  Oh, I'm using an iPod video, 60 gB

Ok I figured it out, you can install a plug in or whatever you call it here that allows me to dim the backlight.

Please, do explain what plugin you are installing and where.

On my x5 i just adjust the "brightness" under the menu: general settings - display - lcd settings - brightness.
