newbie quickie

just installed rb for a spot of cross fade playback for my party.
how can i transfer my existing itunes library to the rb firmware?

You can use the Tag Database to access the music already placed on your ipod by itunes.  Look in the appropriate manual for your ipod for directions on how to do this: http://www.rockbox.org/manual.shtml

thanks!,installed that .1st problem ,my ipod is on drive g,and it only recognises drives a - f!?...

Huh?  Tag Database is a function of Rockbox.  It works with music that is on your player.

hi again,
firstly thanks for the quick responses!.okay ,i found no relevant info in the ipod manual.
i downloaded seperate tag database software,not realising it was a built in feature.
so where i'm at now is general settings/file view/tag cache/update now.
it whirrs for a few seconds  says it's updating and then stops,iwhat am i missing please!?

Patience ;)

Tag Cache takes 5-10 minutes to complete it's work, then a 'proper' shutdown and reboot in order to commit the data.

Then you need to set the file view to ID3 Databse (or similar, it's changed in the last day ;) )
