one of last things im REALLY missing...
mlind:
I have an alternative idea if it's hard to implement audible seeking:
While seeking the audio don't stop, but instead gets "dimmed" while seeking.
When you release the button playback skips to the new position.
This way you don't have to "lose contact" with the music while seeking.
Maybe not that important...

If I understand it correctly you are suggesting something completely different. You propose that the playback would continue while you are selecting a position to seek to?
Anyway it is a good idea and I would welcome it as an option. I was always wondering why the playback stops when you start seeking although it could continue to play until you actually seek to a new position by releasing the button used for seeking.
Rincewind:
with crossfade settings this can result in a nice in-track crossfade just like the old winamp plugin did.

btw are any updates available? audible seeking is really lovely and badly missing
Cassandra:
People have been wanting audible seeking in Rockbox since the dawn of time, it's just never been a priority for the core developers. As such, if it's going to happen, somebody is almost certtainly going to have to write a patch.
Audible seeking is nice, but I can't say I care enough to actually work on it myself. Sorry.
