please ignore the next three posts, i started with having a problem in step 1C, that I solved, but am now bumping on step 1D, hence the change in the topic title. Please go directly to 4th post in this threadHi there,
trying to install rockbox on Ipod photo 60gb, from PBook with no PC at hand.
Did reformat the Ipod to F32 ok I think, following required steps, using Terminal only.
Then with ipod unmounted, tried step 1) C:
My-Mac:~/desktop/rockbox MeMyself$ ./diskdump -r /dev/disk2 bootpartition.bin
diskdump v0.1 - (C) Dave Chapman 2005

I basically killed it when it got to 500MB, as the installation guide said it should be around 40MB.
I did everything again, erasing the ipod and reformatting, same thing.
I have searched the forum but no mention of this problem as far as I could tell.
Any idea?
Cheers
