Important things to know about RB on an US iRiver H320

Hi
I'm totally new to Rockbox and want to install it on my iRiver H320. Are there any problems i could have with my the US version like it is on the original Firmware?
What i have to do to install rock box and how to install plugins? i think the page is a little bit to hard to understand for me cause im from germany
is it possible to boot with original firmwarewhen i installed RB? with the iriver H120 you have to press play and rec but my H320 don't has a button like that

ok but:
"Supported Iriver firmware versions currently include 1.28K, 1.28EU, 1.28J, 1.29K, 1.29J and 1.30EU. "
doeas that mean that rockbox is only for these versions? because when i wnat to download the iriver firmware from iriver.com there is a warning that the firmware DOES NOT work on iRivers from the US and beside that is a link for the US firmware at this is the version 1.04 Oo

That's correct.  To use Rockbox, you need to use 1.28 or 1.29, which means that you lose the ability to play DRM-protected content.

what means that for me?
but doesn't the homepgae of iriver say that these firmwares are not working on my iRiver.
btw: i already isnatlled once japanese version 1.29 -.- now i no why there is always a massage "cant find DRm key" or something liek this

If you've already installed 1.29, then you have nothing to lose by trying Rockbox.

WOW now my pc does not recognize the player anymore...
last time i installed it was the same. but after a while it worked- but not this tim...
can somebody help me?

Do you mean some sort of dock? If so, just use a direct USB connection to the player itself and plug in the wall charger then try it again.

no i mean the "normal" method of loading. i just dont know how to epress myself
