iRiver H1x0: iCatcher bitmap issues with latest builds?

(1/2) > >>

Are any other H1x0 users noticing issues with the bitmaps in their iCatcher themes? With version 061122-0053 (as well as the November 21 daily build), my play symbol and volume symbol (the circle of dots) in the upper left corner both show a light gray bar across the top, and the shading on the MP3 icon appears more pixelated than I remember it being. Do these bitmaps need to be redrawn, or is this a display bug?

Genre9mp3:
I guess it's related to this:
21 Nov 17:14 Mike Sevakis : H100 series: Adjusted gray scale balance and default contrast for more linear gray levels.

Haven't tested myself yet but I guess I'll have to redraw the bmps for the H100 to make them show as before.

jhMikeS:
Dithering was added recently for making images with continuous tones look better in general with 2 bits. The bars had always been there but just not as visibly. The grays are a little darker now to make them more even from black to white.

Solid (will not dither) gray levels on 2-bit displays are: 0, 85, 170, 255

Lear:
It's worth noting that dithering is currently only applied to backdrops, not "normal" WPS images.

If you get the chance, that would certainly make for a cleaner presentation on the H1x0. iCatcher is my favorite theme, so I (for one) would love to see the quirks re-ironed out.
