why no sound in rockbox?

why dont rockbox play sound in the video files in rockbox?....ipodlinux does it?
and also...i have heard that they are in the process of coding for the sound thing..what is it?
and also...how long will it take till the day comes when rockbox could play sound playback?

because nobody has coded it yet.
