Colour WPS x battery

Hi,

WPS with colored bmps have more battery comsumption?

If yes, can anybody explain which details? (Pixels, colours, dpi, etc...)

I remember there being a discussion a while back about this, and I believe the consensus was the reduction in battery life is negligible.  The only factor that would noticeably decrease battery life would be if the WPS incorporated any type of animated graphic during playback, such as a running man or anything like that.

Even that's not much.  I made a WPS that, on hold, totally blanked the screen.  It got me about 15 extra minutes (on 6 hours, so about a 4% increase).  Not *bad*, but meh.

One more doubt Colours WPS (without peakmeters) really causes more skips? I coudn't feel this difference on my ipod video 60GB.
