Rebooting to original apple os

ok, i have a 5g ipod and when i change from rockbox to apples firmware, it takes a while and uses alot of battery because it is spinning the disk drive.

im thinking.... might there be an easier way?

I'm not understanding what you're asking. It sounds like you're asking if there's an easier way to load the Apple OS from the disk than loading the Apple OS from the disk...
