Stop right there! You do not need to be so rude to people who are trying to help you. The first suggestion is a workaround, the second has not yet been answered:
--- Quote from: bascule on November 24, 2006, 08:20:51 AM ---2. Do you want me to help you differentiate podcasts and music using Tag Cache?
If so, let me know how you got on with the custom Tag Cache menus using the .ogg/.mp3 differentiation.
If not, this thread is closed.

As for this:
--- Quote from: jmdennis on November 27, 2006, 12:19:56 AM ---...When a song or podcast has a question mark at the end of the name and I try and copy them over to my iPod when it finds one of these names it asks me if I want to skip it which I normally do...

Using what? iTunes or Drag and Drop?
What happens if you don't skip it? Maybe it copies it over anyway, but automatically removes the invalid characters... ;)
I am sure that everything you want to do can be done quite easily in Rockbox, but it needs you to help us in understanding your problems... Please answer the questions that people ask, because they are directed towards diagnosing the exact problem.
jmdennis:
You are right I should not be rude. Â I am just pissed off about some thing else. Â I can live with the work arounds so please close this. Â If I hit skip it does not copy that song across. Â I have to rename it and try again. Â I can hit cancel but then it just cancels that rest of the copy. Â For iTunes I just make sure that it is set to update my iPod and then when I connect my iPod every thing is copied over. Â I do not think that it renames any of the podcast. Â It just sends them across to my iPod. Â If I just copy over the podcast folder like I do with my music folder when it gets to the podcast file names with a question mark in it I have to skip those. I forgot to mention that all my music is on my iPod so this renaming is not an issue any longer. When I copy over new songs I just know that I need to rename them before I do. It is a pain but it is doable.

Fine. Case closed.
