Merging the Rockbox bootloader

Please forgive me if this has been covered in another thread but when I try & run the cmd: ipod_fw -g color -o rockboot.bin -i apple_os.bin bootloader-color.bin, I get the message " fread failed: No error".

Could anyone please tell me where I might be going wrong.

Also the apple_os BIN file in my rockbox folder has 0KB in it, is this right?

It's not right !!

it would be create a file with some bytes, maybe 7,314 bytes.

Try reinstalling the bootpartition.bin, turning your ipod original, and then start the install again. Once I have this problem, and solved this way.
